Welcome back! It’s your time to scroll and find out what’s going on.
What did you do this weekend? My family and I went to the National Trails Day event at Country Park. It was fantastic! Met a few of you bird watchers, bikers, and rowers there. Also, we hit the Science Center for Oceans Day (and to cool off from the afternoon heat).
As a GSO Boomerang, it’s wild to see the development around the city.
Shout out to the Greensboro Parks & Rec team! It’s hard for me to keep up with all the awesome events they throw and how they keep improving our parks.
And it’s wild to see how much the Science Center has blossomed. Some rooms give off the old vibes for nostalgia, but I feel like there’s something new added all the time. Go see the now open butterfly exhibit. It’s worth the trip!
Last thing…I picked up this book on Saturday at the park and wanted to share it with you as it’s another guide.
Palmer and Hollis wrote Trails and Treats to bring together the best hiking and running trails across NC and the best local eats. It’s quite the combo if you ask me. My wife suggested we keep it in the car to have on hand for spontaneous road trips. Grab yourself a copy.
Okay now for the scroll!
Solid events this week leading up to Saturday, which is slam packed. I’ll be at the beach so there’s FOMO on my side. Maybe I’ll make it back in time for the free Father’s Day event at Summerfield Farms though.
