Greensboro’s Got It
Highlighting 3 special events this week:
Wine & Dessert Lounge
Chez Genese consistently gets mentioned as one of best restaurants in town. But did you know they host a wine & dessert lounge every Friday night? Now you do. Seems like the perfect spot to wind down at the end of the week.
Local Folk ft. Rissi Palmer & Mayia Warren
Who’s ready for the NC Folk Fest this fall? If you can’t wait until September, go to Flat Iron this Friday. There will be a special folk concert presented by NCFF featuring two artists with Southern soul. All ages. $12 tickets.
Cars & Coffee FREE
This is the car meet up in Greensboro. Whether you’re in the car community or not, heard it’s a very warm & welcoming group to all. Could be a fun and free way to start your Saturday this weekend.
Eastern Festival of Music @ Guilford College
Looking for something to add to your summer bucket list? Consider the Eastern Music Festival at Guilford College. It’s a no brainer if you’re into classical music as it includes concerts and community events from world renowned musicians and young talent.
More info about the festival and tickets here.

What others have said about the experience:

🧐 What's your primary source for staying informed about Greensboro?
Poll Results: Does the pedestrian plaza idea on South Elm make downtown more appealing to you?
Yes - 53%
No - 31%
It Depends - 16%
If we learned anything from last week’s poll, both the Yes and No crowds hold strong takes:
YES:
“We’ve been wanting them to close down Elm forEVER. Very excited!!!”
NO:
“I’m a long time downtown resident and the loud ass cars are getting worse anyways. Closing Elm will just make it worse on the surrounding streets.”
It’s clear this is one of the more passionate local conversations we’ve had in a while. We’ll check back in once the pilot is underway for another pulse check.
What’s going on, Greensboro?
