Summer officially starts this coming Sunday. Guess its heat decided to come early.
Our city loves celebrating the season’s official start with the Summer Solstice festival. If you join everybody there, bring one of those little portable fans and wear sunscreen. More details below!

Juneteenth
In Greensboro, Juneteenth is a multi-day celebration all over town: art & dance battles, food trucks, festivals, soulebrations, shabbats, 5K races, galas, and pageants. Start with above link for most events or reference our weekly list here.
Summer Solstice
This Saturday you can celebrate longer summer days. Link is must click if you’re unaware of this festival spanning Lindley Park and the Arboretum. Over 5,000 attendees each year! Admission is $10 (kids 12 & under are free).
NC Folk Fest: Local Folk
This special summer series is back! It’s all about highlighting emerging artists who are shaping what local folk music looks and sounds like right now. This first round will feature Shana Tucker and Kay Marion at Back Table. Tickets are $10 each.
Congrats to the Canes!
Really sweet to see the Hurricanes bring home their second Stanley Cup! Fun GSO fact: Canes temporarily played in Greensboro from 1997 to 1999 while Raleigh arena was completed.

GCG Dinner Club: NEW LOCATION
Switching things up for dinner club and moving locations! Yall have shared great feedback and we’re constantly improving this experience so keep it coming. This will be regular format.
